Fill the Bus – Support Fayetteville Students This School Year

Ways to Give

1. Donate School Supplies
Drop off new, unused supplies at our office or participating local businesses.

Most requested items include:

  • Backpacks

  • Pencils & pens

  • Notebooks & folders

  • Crayons, markers, and glue sticks

  • Pencil cases, rulers, and scissors

2. Donate Funds
Every dollar helps us purchase more supplies for local kids.
A portion also helps cover the cost of hosting and promoting this city-wide effort.

Suggested Giving Levels:

  • $10 = Basic supply item + 10% off your next shuttle buddy ride

  • $25 = core classroom items + 15% off your next shuttle buddy ride + social media shout out

  • $50+ = Helps a student and supports Shuttle Buddy’s community work + half-off your next shuttle buddy ride + soical media shout out

  • $100+ = Mulitple students supported + 1 free one-way ticket for your next shuttle buddy ride = social media feature

Fill the bus supply drive

Support Fayetteville students this ‘25-’26 school year!

Shuttle Buddy is proud to host our first annual Fill the Bus Supply Drive, supporting local students in need as they head back to school. We're turning our bus into a rolling donation center—collecting backpacks, school supplies, and financial contributions now through August 16.

Your donation helps us put essential items in the hands of students across Cumberland County while keeping Shuttle Buddy active and involved in our community.

Right now, too many Fayetteville families are stretched thin. The cost of school supplies keeps rising, and for some, even basics like notebooks and backpacks are out of reach.

Giving FAQs

  • 100% of donated school supplies go directly to students in need across Fayetteville through our local partner organizations. If you donate money, a portion goes to purchasing additional supplies and supporting the outreach efforts of Shuttle Buddy’s Fill the Bus campaign.

  • Yes! We welcome donations of new, unused school supplies. Check our list of drop-off locations or bring them directly to the Shuttle Buddy office at 5419 Raeford Road.

  • Shuttle Buddy is not a registered nonprofit, so donations are not tax-deductible. However, your contribution will still make a direct and visible impact in our local community.

  • We’d love that! Businesses can donate supplies, funds, or become official sponsors of the Fill the Bus campaign. Sponsors donating $100+ will be recognized on our website and flyers (optional). Contact us to get started.

  • The donation drive ends on Friday, August 16th so we can deliver all supplies in time for the start of the school year.
